Speed and agility training can be beneficial for any young athlete in any sport. The three main parts of speed training are linear speed, change of direction, and vertical training. All speed training sessions should have a dynamic warm-up, a main part of the workout or (bulk), an injury preventative educational aspect,  finished with a static/ range of motion stretch. Evaluations shall be administered in the first week and every 3 to 4 weeks through out to chart progress and reevaluate where the focus should be placed on the young athlete. Speed is a skill that can be acquired. Speed training with young athletes teaches them the importance of hard work and gives the athlete an educated idea about how the body works. The science behind this kind of training is definitive and kids ages 5 through high school, college, pro level, and beyond can enjoy!!! For a full description of exactly what we do ask Coach Kev!!!
